BROKEN SLOGAN features new works by Arthur Mohagen III (Milwaukee),Jonathan Chamberlain (Pittsburgh) and John Phillip Abbott (Albuquerque). Once broken, slogans become poetic fragments, splintered memories. In pieces they can carry new meaning, sit sideways, be read backwards. BROKEN SLOGAN will spotlight the relationships between pop and text, fashion and language, design and idiom. The exhibition will showcase paintings, drawings, and objects which incorporate, recontextualize, and appropriate text.
