GO GO was a one night only performance show of student work from the Robotic Art Studio, an experimental and interdisciplinary class offered in the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University. The Robotic Art Studio explores the conceptual, technical and cultural aspects of robotic art works. In its hybrid form, the class focuses on the development of artistic concepts and their technical realizations.
"Go Go" featured the final projects of five student groups working on the topic of Go Go Dancing Machines for the relatively short period of twelve weeks. Following the nature of the Robotic Art Studio, most of these groups are interdisciplinary, including students from Carnegie Mellon's School of Art, the Human Computer Interaction Institute, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Department of Computer Science and the Entertainment Technology Center.
