On my way back from the Post Office I forgot how to get home so I had to get a room, utilizes sound in a sculptural sense. It consists of two parts. A tiny flickering sign for "The Shamrock Hotel" addresses issues of size and scale, and ostensibly represents the "room." For the sound component of the installation, eight speakers sit on the ground in a row, each emanating different sorts of noises that vibrate the floor. Clips of garbled conversation and tones that buzz and ring are among the sounds that help evoke a feeling of anticipation.
