Posted Public Project

As part of the artist’s desire to reclaim, reinterpret, and reengage with public versus private space, P3 aims to utilize appropriated imagery in order to appropriate space. By taking the posted private property signage and reinventing it to command a sense of encouragement rather than authority, the artist hopes to engage the public in an exercise of reexamination. It’s time to ask ourselves how we interact with our communities. Do we take a form of ownership for public space within those communities? What do we do when public space is lost?
