Abstract: "An A-Team is a multi-agent organization for cyclic (iterative) processing. All the agents are autonomous. The cycles are asynchronously coupled, allowing them to be run in parallel and to collaborate without delaying one another. We conjecture that there are simple and effective ways of designing these couplings and offer three examples in support of the conjecture: A-Teams for solving sets of nonlinear algebraic equations, travelling salesman problems, and high-rise building design."
