Debt Problems

My comments concentrate on the international debt of developing countries. I present some numerical estimates of future debt, discuss the possibility of avoiding default on debt service and estimate some effects on the U.S. trade balance. I comment, also, on some proposals for dealing with the problem and reducing risk to the U.S. banking system.
