Design Curricula Study: Hands-On Design and the Distributed Studio

<p>The following material constitutes an interim report by Joe Ballay on a summer project that I commissioned.</p> <p>Included are an outline of the position paper to result from the project (on strategies for introducing design as a theme, skill set, and salient, component of a liberal arts or core curriculum) and appendix material.</p> <p>Joe Ballay had approached me with the proposal to investigate and design software that would support design studio conditions on our distributed computer network.</p>
