In high-energy physics, one standard method for determining the properties of a particle is to examine its influence on other particles, whether through attraction, repulsion, absorption, deflection, fission or fusion. Analogously, in the domain of human interaction, it is possible to infer some of the characteristics of a man by examining the nature of his impact on those who felt the force of his mind and his character.
