Singular cardinals and strong extenders

<p>We investigate the circumstances under which there exist a singular cardinal µ and a short (<em>κ</em>,µ)-extender <em>E</em> witnessing “<em>κ</em> is µ-strong”, such that µ is singular in Ult(<em>V, E</em>)</p>
