Bridging the Gap: Qatar's Teachers and the Path to ESD and GCED

  This study adapted a UNESCO survey to assess how well Qatar’s public and private school teachers feel prepared to teach education for sustainable development (ESD) and global citizenship education (GCED) in cognitive, behavioral, and socioemotional dimensions.
 Our results revealed that private school teachers were significantly more ready to teach ESD and GCED in all three dimensions, than public school teachers. To bridge this gap, further research is needed to determine whether access to resources could enhance teachers' readiness to teach ESD and GCED.
