As data librarians, we are always looking to tailor data services to our communities, but researchers are siloed, which makes it difficult to keep track of projects. Past research on research networks has aimed to detail characteristics of successful collaborations and on how to create weighted maps. The purpose of our study was to look at data sharing through a research networks lens as a way to supplement our investigation into cultivating these behaviors in our communities, as well as to identify who isn’t engaging and might require a more targeted approach.
