Powering Institutional Repository Growth with OA Switchboard

Carnegie Mellon University Libraries is actively integrating the OA Switchboard with its figshare repository, KiltHub, to streamline the creation of records for CMU authors' Open Access publications. This initiative harnesses OA Switchboard notifications to automatically generate metadata records in KiltHub for OA publications not yet represented. The goal of this ongoing project is to achieve a comprehensive and accurate collection of CMU's OA output within the institutional repository. This poster shares the process of establishing an automated data feed between OA Switchboard and figshare, facilitating the efficient transfer of standardized metadata for new record creation in KiltHub.
