Deepening Ties with the Campus Technology Transfer Office

At Carnegie Mellon University, the University Libraries are deepening  ties to the Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation  (CTTEC), the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, and Project Olympus (an  incubator effort within the Swartz Center).  Research metrics tools can  be useful for topical analysis by CTTEC. Our first referral on  patent/prior art searching has recently been received.  This recognizes  the library as an able partner for early stage efforts of the innovation  pipeline and has led to our first referral from CTTEC to help a  graduate student with patent/prior art searching.
