SCOAP3 and the Intellectual Contribution of the Mid-Atlantic Section

These are the PowerPoint slides for a contributed talk at the 2015 American Physical Society Mid-Atlantic Section Annual Meeting.  The talk aimed to promote awareness of the SCOAP3 business model that is currently being used in particle physics for providing open access peer-reviewed journal literature. After nearly two years of operation, this looks at the research metrics of Mid-Atlantic section institutions.
