The Big Picture
This presentation was given during the OCLC Research Library Partnership Rep, Rank & Role meeting "Reputation Management: Libraries in the Mix" plenary that took place in San Francisco 3-4 June 2015.
In this presentation, Dean Webster talks about the research assessment and impact agenda, various stakeholders—the government, the research funders, the research institutions and individual researchers; resource discovery—how our institutions secure research funding, attract the best researchers and find the best collaborators; open science and the evolving scholarly record; the changing role of the librarian; and concludes with observations on what success might look like.
