The defense of women's rights has recently resurged in the political and social sphere over the past years. From marches on Washington to advocating for new legislation, those who identify as women have banned together across the United States to support a variety of causes rooted in gendered and sexist oppression. Even with this rich coalition of supporters and advocators, there is still a noticeable gap in professional coverage of women in the media - women are scrutinized, bashed, and demoralized in many of the top magazines. To fill this gap and advocate for the professional women of my time, I created a magazine that showcases women in leadership roles around Pittsburgh. The magazine provides a cohesive place to explore feminist narratives and establish the genre in an accessible form of media coverage.
