Leveraging the Cyber Intelligence Framework to Combat Human Trafficking
Human trafficking has evolved into the cyber domain, where criminals are now actively utilizing technology and digital platforms to deceive, manipulate, and coerce victims into forced labor and sexual exploitation. As a result, human trafficking now must be categorized as a type of non-traditional cyber threat. The Cyber Intelligence Framework, a methodology designed to equip organizations with actionable intelligence regarding modern cyber threats, is explored as a potential solution to addressing the growing human trafficking threat. This framework offers strategies that entities should leverage when engaging in anti-human trafficking cyber intelligence activities, with a particular focus on environmental awareness, data gathering, threat analysis, strategic analysis, and intelligence reporting.
