Mixed-mode strategies to keep Kunming as a fresh air city

Natural conditioning strategies is important in building performance as well as occupancy comfort. As Kunming is a temperate climate city and has not been changed into an “air-conditioning” city yet, this study really intended to help Kunming develop its own natural conditioning building design strategies which is not only suitable for the climate, but also help keep Kunming as a fresh air city with less energy consumption. Follow the order of this study, reader can learn more about the climate of Kunming and the suitable natural conditioning strategies for Kunming, and use the quantitative benefits for each strategies and the design guideline to support the development of future buildings as well as to support the retrofit of existing buildings
