SpectorThe authors propose to the Carnegie-Mellon Computer Science Department a curriculum for undergraduate computer science. This report sets forth objectives for computer science education, presents an overview of the content of a curriculum, defines the course structure for a degree program, and outlines a set of courses. The curriculum design is intended to anticipate the content that will be appropriate at the end of this decade. We have tried to avoid being unduly prejudiced by traditional courses and organizations.
In addition to proposing a curriculum design for computer science majors, the authors recommend die development of new curricula to serve other groups of students.
